Be The Best Athlete You Can Be.
I have been coaching youth athletes, for more than 12 years. Providing sound coaching and fitness development programs to athletes of all levels. I have true passion in ensuring that all programs are complete in that they includes skill enhancement, strength development, and injury prevention.
Depending on the sport and the goals of the athlete, our programs can take on many forms such as Resistance Band Training, SAQ Training, and Tabata. For younger athletes we do not use external weights such as barbells, and dumbbells for increasing muscle strength. The use of body-weight exercises will provide an adequate challenge.
What is SpeedAgilityQuickness Training?
SAQ is an acronym for "Speed, Agility and Quickness". SAQ training sessions will develop and improve all players' motor skills with and without a ball by fine tuning individual balance and core strength. It is used to increase speed/strength, and the ability to exert maximum force during high-speed movements. Some benefits of SAQ training include increases in muscular power in linear, lateral, horizontal, and multi-planar movements; body spatial awareness; motor skills; and reaction time.
Speed -- The ability to move the body in one intended direction as fast as possible.
Agility -- The ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and change direction quickly, while maintaining proper posture.
Quickness -- The ability to react and change body position with maximum rate of force production, in all planes of motion, from all body positions, during functional activities.
What is Resistant Band Training?
Resistance bands are used in strength training exercise. They are essentially giant rubber bands that you pull against to strengthen certain muscle groups.
Like weight training resistance or strength training is designed to build up muscle mass Weight training is a subcategory of resistance training in which the resistance is provided by gravity. The resistance offered by resistance bands is in the elasticity of the bands themselves. Resistance bands are much more convenient than typical weight-lifting gear, being lighter, more portable and composed of strips of rubber with plastic hand-holds for ease of use.
What is Tabata?
“Tabata” is the name of a particular type of workout program that provides similar health benefits to that of cardio workouts, but Tabata has a bit more spice. Instead of hours upon hours or exercise, Tabata can be completed in 4 minutes. Tabata falls under the category of high intensity training or high intensity interval training.
